Chamberfest West

ChamberFest West is Calgary’s summer chamber music festival. Celebrating it’s inaugural year, with a series of innovative performances performed by international musicians. ChamberFest West aims to pique curiosity in new listeners and reinvigorate the existing community.

Chamber music performances bring a small group of musicians together and allow for an intimate experience between the musician and the listener. We wanted to capture this excitement within the visual identity and ensure it expresses the beauty, creativity and diverse nature of chamber music.

The identity takes inspiration from the feeling of different instruments, performers and styles colliding together, and brings it to life through typography and scale. The type itself shares similarities with the organic shapes of notes and the natural flow of music. The colour palette plays its part with unexpected pairings clashing and coming together to draw the eye and stand out in the scene.
